The story behind the store.

Hi! I'm the founder of Celebr8, and I've been obsessed with party planning since before I could fully explain why.

When I was around 8 years old — maybe even younger — I was already planning my own birthday parties months in advance. I'd grab a stack of Post-it notes, write out my guest list on one, the food on another, the location on another, and line them all up on my bedroom wall. I'd spend hours on sites like Oriental Trading carefully picking out the perfect party favors for every single guest. I obsessed over every detail, tweaking and perfecting until the day finally arrived.

Here's the funny part: I was a really shy kid with serious social anxiety. I didn't even like parties that much. But I absolutely loved planning them.

Growing up, my parents hosted cookouts, Christmas parties, Super Bowl gatherings, and countless other events. I watched them plan every single one — and I watched them dread every single one. Not because they didn't love their family and friends, but because hosting is genuinely exhausting. As I got older and took on more of the planning myself, I started to truly understand that feeling: counting down the days until an event, not because you're excited for it to start, but because you can't wait for it to be over.

That never sat right with me. Celebrations are supposed to be the best days of our lives — milestones, holidays, moments we'll remember forever. Somewhere along the way, the world normalized dreading them.

That's why Celebr8 exists.

I built this store as a passion project with one simple goal: to take the stress and mess out of party planning so you can actually be present for your celebrations. Whether it's Christmas, a Baby Shower, a Wedding Anniversary, a College Graduation, a Cat's Birthday, or the first day of Kindergarten — every occasion deserves to be celebrated, not survived.
